Craigslist Proxy – Don’t Post Too Many Ads From Your Ips

March 16th, 2009
Creztor Tessel asked:

Are you aware that even if you put ads on Craigslist via a proxy, Craigslist can still be aware of your activities? Craigslist is always on the lookout for people who are spamming too many ads from one IP. Many people want to know how many ads can be posted from one IP on their Craigslist proxy without raising any alarms. The answer to this varies a lot.

Overall, don’t post anymore than 20 ads per day from any one IP. If you want you can try posting more than this but do so at your own risk, so try and not exceed 20 ads from one IP each day. Many people do infact post many ads from one IP each day, but over a prolonged period of time you may find that your IP is blocked. You also need to take into consideration the number of IPs you have access to. Having only a few IPs means it makes sense to try and post as many ads as you can. Don’t post a lot of ads from one IP all in a row. You would be better off by posting one ad and then changing your IP before the next. By doing this you reduce any chance of Craigslist detecting that you are posting the same or similar ads from a specific range of IPs.

Never forget to implement to above technique when posting ads to avoid any chance that your IPs on your proxy server are flagged or blacklisted so as to make posting ads on Craigslist as easy and painless as possible. By taking this precaution, you can make the most of your Craigslist proxy and hopefully generate more traffic.
