Do you use Craigslist to advertise for your business? Do you post in the services section on Craigslist or any other section that requires a phone verified account? If so, then you should be aware that Craigslist has recently introduced some dramatic changes. Of most concern is a major change that affects phone verified accounts and is sure to be of great impact on anyone who uses phone verified accounts on Craigslist, no matter how big or small.
This recent changed introduced by Craigslist affects phone verified accounts directly, more specifically the creation of phone verified accounts. It used to be that you could verify your Craigslist account using your home or mobile phone and that was that. It was of no importance if you posted an ad on Craigslist straight away or if you waited several days or even weeks before you used it. The important thing was that your account was verified thanks to the use of a phone number. This is no longer the case. Craigslist has introduced a drastic new change that affects how long you can wait to post an ad on Craigslist after you verify it. As already mentioned, there used to be no time limit. However, with the new changes, once you verify an account you must post an ad almost immediately on Craigslist. An ad must be posted on Craigslist to lock the account in verified status. If you do not post an ad on Craigslist shortly after verifying your account, you will find that it reverts back to a non-verified account. What does this mean? It means that you will have to re-verify the account all over again if you wish to post in any sections on Craigslist that require phone verified accounts. It looks as though Craigslist allows an 8 – 10 hour timeframe from when an account is verified to just how long you have to post an ad on Craigslist to lock it in the verified state. If you don’t post an ad within this timeframe, you will receive a second phone call from Craigslist with the verification code. This is more than likely a reminder from Craigslist so you can post an ad and lock your account in verified status. If you ignore this second phone call, a few hours later you will find that the account is no longer phone verified. You will have to repeat the process all over again. The good news is that you can use your same phone number again. This makes sense as since your account is no longer verified, the phone number is no longer used. You won’t have to worry about finding a new phone number to try and re-verify your account if you only have one number you use.
While the recent change regarding phone verified accounts on Craigslist is minor, it can cause a lot of stress and wasted time for those who verify accounts and then don’t post ads immediately. Save yourself the trouble and post an ad on Craigslist immediately after you verify it. Doing this will lock the account as a PVA and you can safely use it another day.

Michael Simms asked: Are you in need of and looking to buy Craigslist Phone Verified Accounts? If this sounds like you, then most likely you have a a very good reason for wanting to buy some verified accounts. The latest move by Craigslist has caused massive uproar from the Craigslist marketing community which has led to the huge demand for verified accounts.
It all started when Craigslist required Craigslist Phone Verified Accounts to post in the most heavily trafficked erotic services section. Many people did not realize that this was just the first step Craigslist was going to take. Phone verification requires all Craigslist users to first verify their account via a valid phone number before they are allowed to post in the services section. This is a simple process that involved inputting your phone number, receiving a phone call and a code and then typing it in. Having completed this you are now able to post in phone verified sections. After the introduction of phone verification, there have been some obvious changes. Phone verified accounts permit you to only post one ad every 48 hours in sections that require phone verification. Not having access to enough phone numbers to create enough phone verified accounts has forced many advertisers to severely reduce the number of ads they have been posting. Craigslist continues to fight spam and now just having a
Craigslist proxy isn’t enough, you need phone numbers as well.
All in all, I think Craigslist Phone Verified Accounts has had a positive effect on Craigslist, even if it has forced many people, who have never needed verified accounts before, to buy Craigslist Phone Verified Accounts in order to keep posting on Craigslist.

Creztor Tessel asked:
Have you recently been forced to create phone verified Craigslist accounts, then it is best to find out what numbers you can and can’t use. Not every single kind of phone number is compatible with the verification system that Craigslist has introduced to try and control spam on their classified site.
As already mentioned, Craigslist does not support every kind of phone number. This was done with the main purpose of trying to stop, or at least prevent, people from abusing the verified account system. Only a few kinds of numbers are truly compatible with Craigslist. Phone numbers that have been stated to officially work with Craigslist are standard landline and cell phone numbers. However, when you take a look in details at which specific kind of numbers are supported, In reality there is much more to it than just this. There are many cell phone companies which will not work. Prepaid cell phone sims are the main culprit and do not work. Of course, Craigslist does not mention or state this anywhere on their website. It is easy to understand why this is the case because Craigslist is aware that some users will buy them just to make phone verified Craigslist accounts. Furthermore, VOIP landlines will also not work. VOIP numbers are also blocked because Craigslist most likely considers that they are too easy to get access to due to their low price and will be abused by people just to verify accounts.
If you are looking to make your own phone verified accounts, you will have to make sure that whatever number you use does not fall under the category of being VOIP or some kind of prepaid cell phone network. If you are unsure, generally speaking disposable or instant type phone numbers will more than likely not be compatible.

Which sections on Craigslist will require you to buy Craigslist phone verified accounts? Not every section on Craigslist requires phone verified accounts. However, there are many different sections, which ones require phone verified accounts and which ones don’t? Knowing this piece of important information will help you decide if you need to get some more phone verified accounts or not.
The simple answer to the question of which secitons on Craigslist require phone verified accounts is the Services section. This is the only section which requires the user to have a phone verified account before they can continue posting. As this only makes up a small area of Craigslist, one can say that the majority of Craigslist does not require phone verified accounts. While this is true, there is a slight catch to this. It is true that the Services section is the only area that you will need a pva before you can post, but any section may require a phone verified account if you are flagged by Craigslist. How does one become flagged? If you are posting multiple ads on Craigslist and aren’t covering your tracks there is a good chance that Craigslist will eventually track your activity down to your IP or IP range you are using and then flag your IP range. What does this mean? It means that if you are flagged you will require a phone verified account to post in any section on Craigslist. By any section I do mean any section, not just the Services section. If you want to avoid getting flagged so you don’t have to use or can avoid using phone verified accounts, make sure you do everything possible to cover your activity on Craigslist.
While the simple answer to the question of which sections on Craigslist require phone verified accounts is the Services section, it can actually be required in every and any section on Craigslist. To avoiding having to buy Craigslist phone verified accounts to post on Craigslist with, make sure that you either post moderately or implement different accounts and different IPs to avoid being flagged.

Craigslist, Important Information, Simple Answer
Creztor Tessel asked:
It was some time ago that Craigslist introduced the need for phone verified accounts in many sections of their online classified website. Without verifying your account, you are unable to post any ads. This was implemented mainly to control how often people could post ads and force users to follow their policy regarding the correct use of the classified website. While many people were worried and frowned upon the introduction of phone verification, it has in fact been a blessing in disguise.
Originally, anyone could post on Craigslist without verifying their account. When Craigslist first started out, there was no need. It was a relatively small website with a small user base. However, over the years this has completely changed. Craigslist is now one of the most heavily trafficked websites on the planet. As a result, this has led to many marketers and other people trying to tap into the traffic. This resulted in many people spamming the classified site and not following the policy regarding how often members could post ads. This led to the introduction of phone verification and literally overnight stopped many spammers dead in their tracks. These are the people who were primarily upset about the introduction of phone verification. With the majority of spammers gone, Craigslist is now cluttered with fewer ads making it easier for potential customers to find what they need. It has also made it easier for legitimate posters. You face less competition because of a reduction and in spam and have a greater chance of finding customers who need your service. Without phone verification, none of this would be possible as many people were posting thousands of ads per day for the same service.
While the introduction of phone verified Craigslist accounts did upset a lot of advertisers, these people were primarily spammers who were posting the same ads again and again on Craigslist. Thankfully the phone verification has removed a lot of these advertisers and Craigslist has once again stopped the onslaught of spam, making it easier for legitimate advertisers to post ads with less competition and find the right customers for their service.

Blessing In Disguise, Many People, Traffic

Creztor Tessel asked:
Sometime has passed since the introduction of Craigslist PVA at the Craigslist online classified website. The introduction of these PVA was done for a specific reason, that of being able to control how often people who use Craigslist could post ads. By implementing Craigslist PVAs, Craigslist now had a much greater control over who was posting and how often they could post. The implementation of these accounts has been one of many steps Craigslist has taken to try and control or limit the amount of unwanted ads/spam that is posted on the classified website.
When Craigslist was first established, it was essentially a free for all classified site. There were basically no restrictions on who could post ads and how often they could post them. While originally this did not pose a problem, since Craigslist grew into the world’s largest online classified website, many problems came about because of this. One of the many steps Craigslist took to limit the amount of ads being posted or that could be posted by individuals was through the introduction of phone verified accounts. This originally started in the erotic services section and was tested for just over one month. Once this phase of testing was completed, it was then expanded to the entire services section. Almost overnight, there was a dramatic decrease in the quantity and frequency of ads being posted in Craigslist in the services section. The reason for this being that many advertisers were using hundreds or thousands of accounts and once phone verification was introduced they simply did not have enough phone number to use to verify all the accounts. A phone number can only be used once to phone verify an account, and this was the main reason for the dramatic drop in ads being posted on Craigslist. This is good news for legit advertisers who have a product or service they want to promote and sell in their local area. Thanks to phone verification, there were less spam ads being posted and this allowed legit advertisers to have the chance of having their ad seen by a potential customer on Craigslist instead of being lost amongst the thousands of spam ads being posted. Where originally there was no limit on how often you could post an ad on Craigslist, once phone verified accounts were introduced this was changed to one ad posted every 48 hours per account. While some advertisers did manage to get around this by using multiple accounts, the difficulty in obtaining phone numbers that are compatible with Craigslist has resulted in visible decrease in spam in the services sections on Craigslist.
The use of Craigslist PVA came about due to how popular and how much unwanted spam or abuse Craigslist was receiving. If it was not for this we probably would have never seen or had the need for phone verification on Craigslist. Phone verified accounts can only be used once every 48 hours and as a result this has lead to a drop decrease in ads being posted or spammed on Craigslist, making it a better experience for users browsing Craigslist to buy or hire.

Dramatic Decrease, Dramatic Drop, Implementation
Creztor Tessel asked:
For those people who post on Craigslist, there is probably a very good chance that at least once in the past they have had a Craigslist PVA account or several accounts put on hold by Craigslist. When an account is put on hold, it is lost forever. Nothing can be done to bring it back from the dead and start being used again. While this isn’t such an issue for normal or unverified accounts, for phone verified accounts it can be a costly problem if it happens again and again to each new account your create. Luckily there are a few basic steps that you can take to try and improve the lifespan of your phone verified accounts. These steps do no guarantee or make your accounts bulletproof but will definitely help them last as long as possible.
The most important thing you need to remember when posting on Craigslist is that everything you do is logged or tracked by Craigslist. While it is not exactly known what or how much is being tracked, account activity is still tracked at some level. The first level that all accounts are tracked at is IP activity. This isn’t a problem for the casual poster who puts one ad up on Craigslist each week but does become a problem for someone who is looking to post several ads day in and day out. Each time you log in to your accounts and post ads, the IP that you used is logged. The problem with IP arises when you start accessing multiple accounts from one or a very few IPs, hence creating a pattern. Craigslist terms state that you are only allowed to have one account and one way they enforce this is through tracking of IP activity on accounts. If they notice several accounts are being accessed by the same or very similar IPs, red flags are raised and you may find that those accounts one day are suddenly placed on hold. For phone verified accounts, the most common method to avoid raising red flags due to IP activity is to use a different IP for each Craigslist PVA that you have. If you have 10 phone verified accounts then you should be using at least 10 different IPs. This is perhaps the biggest and one of the most important steps to remember if you want to avoid having verified accounts placed on hold. After you log in and post with an account, rotate to a fresh IP and continue posting. The second and almost as important point to remember when using phone verified accounts is to limit how often you post ads on Craigslist. Normal or unverified accounts have no restriction and can be used to post hundreds of ads each day until they die and then you simply create a new account. With phone verified accounts this is a little trickier. The official Craigslist policy is that one account can post an ad every 48 hours. Some people do post more than this but doing so again raises the chance of red flags being raised and your accounts being suspended. If you are looking to make the most of your accounts, then it would be advised to post no more than once every 48 hours. If you wish to post anymore than this, simply obtain more phone verified accounts and post the additional ads with them. Going past one ad every 48 hours increases the chance of the account being suspended and rendered useless.
These are just two tips that anyone who uses Craigslist should keep in mind. Always rotate to a fresh IP and avoid posting anymore than one ad every 48 hours. By following these two simple tips you increase the likely hood that your Craigslist PVA will not be suspended and last for a long time.

Good Chance, Phon, Red Flags
Creztor Tessel asked: If you frequently use Craigslist then you are probably aware that IP is a big issue when it comes to posting ads on Craigslist. Craigslist tracks and logs all IP activity. This is done by Craigslist for a variety of reasons, the main one being to stop spammers and others who want to abuse and overpost their ads on Craigslist. This includes people from within the United States and those who live outside of the United States. The downside to this is that sometimes this also affect people who post on Craigslist but are not spammers. If you happen to be using the same IP range as a spammer is, then you will find that you are also blocked from posting on Craigslist. Luckily, there are a few ways that you can get change and get different IPs so you can keep posting ads on Craigslist.
The first solution to being on an IP blocked range is to use dialup. Dialup is generally assigned a dynamic IP each time you connect to the internet. This meaning that each time you dial in you will get a different IP. Immediately this solves your problem and provides you with a different IP each time you connect to the internet. The downside to dialup is that it is extremely slow. If you are a casual poster then dialup might be a viable alternative, but anyone else will probably find dialup a little too slow to tolerate. The second solution is through the use of air cards. Air cards offer wireless access to the internet. Again, similar to dialup they offer a new IP each time you connect to the internet. They are much faster and offer broadband like speeds so aren’t as slow as dialup. However, air cards have been used and abused by many people on Craigslist for years and as a result many people believe Craigslist has blocked or at least red flagged the IPs used by Craigslist. Therefore you may find that an air card does not solve your problem of needing a fresh new IP that isn’t already blocked. A third solution is to actually renew or refresh your own IP from your current internet provider. If you are on DSL that is dynamic, you can do this by simply reconnecting to the internet. However, many people can not get a fresh IP doing this even though they may be on a dynamic connection. One solution to this is to disconnect and power down/off your modem over night. When you power it up the next morning you should find that you have a different IP. You can also try using ipconfig /release, turn off and on your modem then ipconfig /renew. This is probably the easiest and best solution but for many it still does not work. They are either on fixed IPs or just unable to get a different dynamic IP. The fourth solution, and this may help those who can’t get a new IP via powering down their modem, is to change your network card’s MAC address. You can do this by either getting a new network card or by using some MAC software that allows you to manually edit the number. This method while many times effective can be risky and you may cause damage to your network card making it unusable. A fifth solution is for those who may have an iPhone or other mobile device that has internet access. You can connect your computer through your iPhone and each time you disable and enable wireless/airplane mode you should have a new IP. This is a simple method but for those without an iPhone or similar device it isn’t of much use. The final and probably most effective solution to getting a different IP is through the use of a proxy server, specifically an
elite proxy server. The reason this is one of the better solutions is because it works no matter where you are in the world, offers broadband like speeds and you are the only person who has access to it. With an
elite proxy your IP is shown as in the USA (or any other country you need) and you access it via a username and password specified by you. You may also be able to select which cities or areas the IPs come from in the USA. Within an instant you are able to change/rotate IPs so you can be using a New York IP one minute and a Chicago IP the next.
Elite proxies are not free, but for those serious about posting on Craigslist it is the best solution.
Even if your IP range has been blocked on Craigslist, because of your own actions or others, you can easily change or get a new IP through the use of one of the many methods listed above. However, due to the flexibility, ease of use and access to different IPs, setting up an
elite proxy server is the best method to get a new IP for posting ads on Craigslist with.

Ads, Ip Range, Variety
Creztor Tessel asked:
Ever wondered what caused the need for Craigslist phone verified accounts? You probably, like many, know that it was introduced to try and stop spammers. There is no denying that this is true, but there is actually a reason or cause for phone verification working behind the scenes in sections of Craigslist that actually don’t require a Craigslist PVA to post ads. If you post ads on Craigslist and are not aware of what causes this, then you are potentially playing with fire and risking a phone verified block from Craigslist.
Many assume that there are sections which require phone verification and sections which don’t. This is only partly true. There are indeed some sections that require phone verification. This includes primarily the services section and was initially trialed with the erotic services section. From there it spread to the remainder of the services section once testing was finished. Most people know that if you want to post in the services section you will need a phone verified account. What some people may not know is that many if not all of the other sections also can require a phone verified account before you are allowed to post. What they may not also know is that how you post on Craigslist is the actual cause of needing to verify your account before you can continue. Craigslist logs IP along with other data to keep track of how people post. They do this to try and ensure that no-one exceeds their posting limit and posts too many ads. Several months ago, Craiglsist introduced a new filter where they appear to be keeping track of how many ads are posted from an IP range. When the number of ads (perhaps within a specified period of time) is exceeded, you will be asked to verify your account before you can continue. What sections does this affect? Most, if not all. Many people, mainly casual users, can post ads in the for sale section without ever needing a phone verified account. However, for those who post multiple ads each day, you will soon find that your IP or IP range that you post with has been blacklisted and no matter what you do you will need to verify your account. If the cause of requiring phone verified accounts is known, how can one best avoid or try to prevent it from happening? The best thing you can do is rotate your IP as much as possible. This may or may not be something you can do, as it will depend on what kind of internet connection you have. However, if you are able to rotate IPs between posts you will increase the chance and life duration of your IPs. Will your IPs eventually get blocked? Yes, they probably will. This is especially true if you are posting with only a very few IPs. The solution? The more IPs the better. Doing this will help you avoid the dreaded phone verification request for as long as possible.
Hopefully using the tips above you can now avoid or put off having to use verified phone accounts for as long as possible. This can prove very useful if you have limited access to IPs and must rely on one internet connection to run your advertising campaigns with.
